Ein Sensationsfund aus dem Herzen der VEU. Eine über 1000 Jahre alte Halskette ist in einem verfallenen Haus im sogenannten Salzkammergut aufgetaucht. Soweit nichts besonders, außer, dass es sich um einen Anhänger aus Holz handelt. Auf den ersten Blick wirkt es wie eine Insel oder ein verflossenes Spätzle. Tatsächlich handelt es sich aber um eine uralte Abbildung des Attersees, dessen Form sich über die Jahrhunderte auch nur minimal verändert hat. “Durch jahrelanges Studium konnten wir über unsere reichhaltige Expertise nun klären, dass es sich tatsächlich um den Attersee handelt.” So die Expertin für das alte Salzkammergut an der Oida Universität Eurom, Renate Grauburgunder. Die unmittelbare Nähe des Fundortes zum See soll dabei nur eine geringe Rolle im Analyseprozess gespielt haben. Es handelt sich um einen Holzanhänger in der exakten Form des Attersees aus den Jahren um 2000. Er ist circa 5 cm lang und 0,3 mm dick, dabei hängt er an einer Metallkette von circa 45 cm Länge. “Ein wahrlich wunderbarer Fund, der unsere Region so perfekt wiederspiegelt, wir sind Naturverbundene und stehen für bleibende Werte und Qualität, die Generationen überdauert”, erklärt uns Gerhard Bauer, Bürgermeister der Stadtgemeinde St. Lenzing an der Ager. Man wolle das Erbe ehren und verbreiten und wolle daher die Rechte zur Vervielfältigung von Replikas dieses Sensationsfundes zu geringen Gebühren veräußern.
Sensational Find in the Heart of the VEU: 1,000-Year-Old Wooden Pendant Discovered
A sensational discovery has emerged from the heart of the VEU (Verband Europäischer Union, likely): A necklace over 1,000 years old has surfaced in a dilapidated house in the region known as the Salzkammergut. While this might not sound unusual, the pendant itself is made of wood.
At first glance, it looks like an island or a misshapen Spätzle (a type of soft egg noodle). However, it is actually an ancient depiction of Lake Attersee, whose shape has changed only minimally over the centuries.
“Through years of study, and utilizing our extensive expertise, we can now confirm that it is indeed the Attersee,” stated Renate Grauburgunder, expert on the old Salzkammergut at Oida University Eurom. She noted that the immediate proximity of the discovery site to the lake played only a minor role in the analysis process.
The artifact is a wooden pendant in the exact shape of Lake Attersee dating back to the year 2000. It is approximately 5 cm long and 0.3 mm thick, hanging from a metal chain roughly 45 cm in length.
“A truly wonderful find that reflects our region so perfectly. We are connected to nature and stand for lasting values and quality that endure generations,” explained Gerhard Bauer, Mayor of the municipality of St. Lenzing an der Ager.
The municipality intends to honor and spread this heritage by selling the rights for the reproduction of replicas of this sensational find for a small fee.
